Intensive Bricklaying Courses

Intensive bricklaying courses are designed to take someone that has no experience in bricklaying to a point where they are a competent bricklayer by the end of the course.

Most intensive courses can be used as part of the City and Guilds qualification or as part of the NVQ in bricklaying.

Who is the intensive bricklaying course for? It is for anyone who wants to start a new career as a bricklayer, someone who wants to carry out DIY repairs or maybe someone who wants to start their own business. The intensive courses will get you on the right track to your new career.

Make sure that your training course provider is NVQ accredited.

Most intensive bricklaying courses will include the following:

  • An introduction to bricklaying tools and what they are used for
  • Health and safety at work
  • What materials are best to use
  • How to cut bricks to size
  • Creating and supporting openings
  • Mixing materials
  • Repairing damaged walls
